FAQ
Will Highway 75 be closed on Saturday, July 20th, 2024?
SVTdF is permitted to close a four-mile stretch of Highway 75 from 7:00am-3pm on Saturday, July 20th for a maximum of 20 minutes at one time. When the road is hot, (participating cars traveling at high speeds on the road) it will be closed for north and soutbound traffic. Once the road is open, cars will be allowed to travel in both directions. Traffic can be heavy in the summer and with the addition of road closure, we suggest adding time to your travel plans on Saturday. We thank you for your patience during this time. The event is a fundraiser for the local community, and we couldn’t do it without your support. If you have concerns, or would like more information, please e-mail us info@sunvalleytourdeforce.com.
How can I watch the NO SPEED LIMIT event on Phantom Hill?
The ‘No Speed Limit’ event takes place approximately 15 miles north of Ketchum, in the scenic Sawtooth National Recreation Area (SNRA). This land is regulated and governed by the Forest Service and therefore has limited access to Sun Valley Tour de Force.
There are NO TICKETS sold for this event.
SVTdF cannot tell folks not to attend, but SVTdF safety team offers a strict reminder that anyone in the area during the permitted time 7am-3pm on Saturday July 20, 2024 must follow all guidelines from law enforcement, event officials, and volunteers, including remaining 300 feet off the road when cars are running at top speed.
Spectators can view the event from Phantom Hill, but without a permit there will not be any hosted restrooms, tents, bleachers, food trucks, or any services in this area and NO PARKING OR STOPPING is allowed on Highway 75 on the four-mile permitted stretch of highway.
I am planning on doing a mountain bike ride at Harriman Trail on Saturday, July 20th, 2024. Will I have access as per usual?
Yes, Harriman Trail will be open to bikes. Please adhere to all volunteer and event personnel during the event and when crossing Highway 75. SVTdF will offer a bike trailer on the four-mile stretch of road during the event, helping bikers move quickly past the course while car traffic is open. Please feel free to use this free service for your safety and convenience. Thank you for your patience!
